1947 KNUCKLEHEAD OLD SCHOOL CUSTOM HOT ROD HARLEY THIS BIKE WAS BUILT MANY YEARS AGO BY A FRIEND OF MINE. HE WAS A PROFESSIONAL H-D MECHANIC. HE BUILT THIS BIKE FOR HIMSELF. HE RODE IT FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND WHEN HE WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO RIDE THE BIKE IT CAME TO ME. I HAVE OWNED THE BIKE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. AS YOU CAN SEE THIS IS A VERY HIGH QUALITY BUILD. THE WORKMANSHIP IS AMAZING. AS I SAID, HE BUILT THIS FOR HIMSELF. BIKE IS A 1947 KNUCKLEHEAD IN A 1960 SWING-ARM FRAME, THAT ALSO HAS AN ELECTRIC-STARTER ADDED TO THE SYSTEM. THE MOTOR IS ALL 1947 WITH STD CASES. THE TRANNY AND SPRINGER ARE ALSO 1947. MOTOR HAS ABOUT 4,000 MILES SINCE REBUILD. THE BIKE IS VERY FAST AND SURPRISINGLY GOOD AT BRAKING. THE BIG REAR DISC BRINGS IT RIGHT DOWN AND THE FRONT BRAKE REALLY WORKS FOR MORE THAN A " HILL HOLDER ". BIKE RUNS GREAT, EVERYTHING WORKS HATE TO SEE IT GO, BUT I'M GETTING OLDER AND IT'S TIME TO THIN THE HERD. Mon, 02 Feb 2009While at the time, most of the attention was on President Barack Obama, motorcycle enthusiasts would have surely noticed the one-of-a-kind 2009 Harley-Davidson Police concept Tri-Glide Ultra Classic which led the inauguration parade to the White House on January 20th. Lieutenant Scott Fear, Commander of the U.S. Park Police Motor Unit, led a dozen side car-equipped Electra Glides in a formation riding the heavily modified Trike, which was sourced by Harley-Davidson of Frederick.

Harley does however really seem to reinforce the stereotype of a typical Harley rider, I’m not sure if I am cool enough but the new Sportster Forty-Eight looks great! Zero Motorcycles Launches Dealer Network
Tue, 12 Jul 2011Zero Motorcycles announced a new network of eight dealerships as the electric motorcycle company begins the transition from an online-based sales model to a traditional showroom sales model. Until now, Zero conducts its sales over the Internet with the help of a system of Independent Representatives around the country who use a handful of demo models instead of actual inventory to showcase the brand. As both demand and production have increased, Zero is ready to adopt a new dealer-based model.
