Harley-Davidson Dyna description

Here we go ladies and gentleman, this is as low as she goes. Your chance to own a great looking Harley Davidson. I have my 2001 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide up for sale. It has ultra low miles for a 2001 with only 9716, that's right not a typo 9716 miles. Mileage will go up slightly as I'm still riding it. This a super sharp bike and I haven't seen to many in this color combo, it is Harley Orange and Dark Orange Pearl. I know it looks black, but in the right light you can see it is orange metal flake. It has all the standard feature of a Wide Glide; 88ci (1450cc) Twin Cam carbureted engine, 5sp transmission, and forward controls. This bike has plenty of chrome and is a real head turner. It has Screaming Eagle slip-ons and has a very nice tone not too loud, but you know its a Harley. It will include two seats, two backrests and a few other misc  stock parts. The Badlander and short back rest for cruising around and a Sundowner seat with a medium backrest for those longer rides or riding 2up. Selling it because I want to move up to a bagger for some customizing and some longer rides. Not looking for any trades. Feel to message me with any questions.

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

Harley Art

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...
