Harley-Davidson Dyna description

2010 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide FXD, This 2010 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide is just two years old but, it has 49,122 miles on it. It was traded in on a new Harley and is now offered for sale. I saw its service records for every 5,000 miles up until now. I might still have them in my desk (or I might have lost them in my annual fall desk cleaning). A clean bill of health came for our Service Dept., but they did put a new tires (front and rear). Its drive train in absolutely stock including both intake and exhaust. A two-up seat, which I believe came from an FXDC, and a set of matching rear foot pegs were added with a detachable black padded passengers back rest/black luggage rack. The previous owner also installed a set of black drag bars to replace the stock handle bars. At its asking price, this 2010 FXD represents a great value but it it were mine, I would take out the current motor, sell it, and stick in a Harley Davidson 120R motor (which are reputed to produce about 132 horse power). The perfect Q ship! A road test is available by calling one of our Internet Twins, Dave or Bob. (#312993)

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

Michael Jackson in Speed Demon [video]

Fri, 26 Jun 2009

Michael Jackson was not known for riding motorcycles, he did own a 2001 Harley-Davidson that was on the action block earlier this year that was listed for $6,000 – $8,000, I never heard if it was sold or not.  We all have our different opinions about the mega pop star but we can all agree that he was larger than life and truly a boy in a mans body, case in point, take a look at the “Speed Demon” video that features Jackson on a bicycle, motorcycle and scooter, sort of… The “Speed Demon” video is available after the jump. Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Team Unveils Restyled V-Rod Drag Bikes

Fri, 09 Mar 2012

The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.
