Harley-Davidson Dyna description

Harley Davidson Dyna Glide Daytona.

Private seller NO TAXES, NO DEALER FEES

Rare opportunity to buy a true survivor. These bikes were built in 1991 to commemorate the 50th year anniversary of the Daytona Bike Week and subsequently sold in 1992. All Daytona's were titled as 1992 Bikes although March 1991 are the tank graphics for all of them. There were only 1700 of these bikes ever made and this is number 1018. This bike shows 19445 Box A original miles on the title. The bike runs great as expected with this low mileage. Hard to believe this is a vintage bike as 1992 seems like yesterday to me!

Anyway, some of the important stuff. This is a numbers matching bike. The numbers on the title are the numbers on the frame. The numbers on the frame are the numbers on the engine. Engine and transmission have never been out of the bike. The carburetor was changed to a S&S Super years ago, oil cooler added and the wet clutch and chain primary have been changed to a dry clutch and belt drive primary! That was a $1500 dollar upgrade itself. And now the bike does not have that clunk into gear sound when you shift. Its smooth like a new Harley! I also have a sport style seat which is normally on the bike and will come with it. The Daytona seat was taken off 24 years ago and keep wrapped in plastic so its like new! I put it on for the pictures. Tires are like 90 %. This bike has been slightly modified over the years into a club style ride; meaning the turn signals have been removed. It is a NO keys bike now. The ignition key slot has been replaced with the skull pull switch pictured. The start button has been moved to the left side, also pictured. This mod is usually done on club bikes so you are not fumbling for keys, and no one else knows where the start button is! The original wiring harness is still on the bike and could be reverted back very easily. The shocks are 10" now and not 11" which gives it that racing stance. This bike fires up on the first turn of the engine and runs strong. It does have a very small leak sometimes; not every time I ride it though. May be the drain plug as it has been replaced with a oversize plug. Not bad enough to mess with it so I haven't! This bike is being offered locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells.

I have tried to list and picture to the best of my ability so ask as many questions as you need to satisfy your needs; as this bike is being sold "AS IS".    Kenneth4802458298

Motorcycle Ride for Diabetes

Fri, 23 Jan 2009

Photograph by: Roy Antal, Leader-Post By and large, motorcyclists are some of the most generous citizens in the world. Riding events all over the world bring in untold millions of dollars for numerous worthy charities. Keeping with this theme, one hardy Canadian rider is braving the Great White North’s frigid winter temperatures by riding his Harley coast to coast to raise awareness for diabetes, a disease that has seen a rapid explosion of new afflictions.
