2003 Ducati Superbike 999, Selling my 2003 Ducati 999! Bike is essentially flawless, includes several performance upgrades, recent full service, never been down, etc. Not really a whole lot to say other than the bike speaks for itself, handles like a dream with great top end speed. Full Termignoni exhaust installed, tires are basically new, ASV adjustable brake and clutch levers, Speedymoto reverse shifter installed, and the sale will include both single seater and two rider set-ups. Full service performed @8,250 miles including timing belts and valve clearances checked also just recently changed the oil again and threw in a brand new battery. Asking 6600 but will consider offers, however, my asking price is below NADA values already and you won't find many like this in this great condition and low mileage. FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.

The Bologna factory is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. In honor of this event, the company is sending seven travelers on a trip around the world on the Multistrada 1200 Enduro. They will have to travel a total of 30,000km, visiting Europe, Russia, Mongolia, China, Japan and the United States, passing the baton to each other like an Olympic torch.

Report: Ducati Sold to Audi for US$1.13 Billion

Reuters is reporting Audi has reached a deal with Investindustrial to acquire Ducati for a price of 860 million euros (US$1.13 billion). Citing two unnamed sources familiar with the deal, Reuters reports the purchase price includes Ducati‘s debts, estimated by one of those sources at below 200 million euros (US$262.6 million). As previously reported, the deal will be officially announced April 18, ahead of the annual shareholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.
