Ducati Superbike description

2003 Ducati 999
Gorgeous bike!  I hate to sell it, but unfortunately college tuition is quite expensive.  This bike is loaded with aftermarket parts:
-Termignoni Exhaust (Sounds incredible)
-Ducati Performance ECU (Part of the exhaust package from the dealership)
-Ducati Performance mirrors
-Brembo Brakes
-Stainless brake lines
-Aftermarket levers
-Rizoma open clutch cover
-STM pressure plate
-Ducatbike clutch springs and caps
-CA Cycleworks clutch slave cylinder
-SSr keyless gas cap
-Ohlins steering damper

The motor pulls very strong.  I had a 996 before this bike and I can honestly say this motor is a step above.  Fires right up with no trouble.  Cool thing about the 999 is you don't have to hold the start button, just press it once and it will fire up on its own.  Exhaust sounds incredible.  All in all this bike is great and runs like a top.  It has never been down or dropped.  It has also never seen any time on the track.

The bad:
-There are a few chips in the paint here and there.  Nothing crazy just little things that you'd expect on any bike being ridden.  (see pics and you'll notice they are small and few and far between)
-Bike has maintenance light on.  Last service was completed however you need a dealership to turn the light off using their special Ducati computer.  Last service was done by a private party prior to my ownership.  No check engine lights or anything of that matter are on, just the service indicator.
-Rear tire is getting pretty worn in the middle

MotoGP to Hold Official Test in Argentina; South American Nation Returning to Calendar for 2014

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Dorna Sports announced there will be a MotoGP test at Argentina’s Circuito Internacional Termas de Rio Hondo in July to allow teams to prepare for the track’s expected addition to the 2014 MotoGP calendar. Argentina was actually supposed to join the MotoGP tour this season, but the round was scrapped because of a dispute between the country and Spain after the Argentine government seized control of a Repsol subsidiary. Repsol is, of course, a prominent sponsor of several teams including Honda‘s factory team.

Recall for 2011 Ducati Diavel

Thu, 07 Jul 2011

Ducati is recalling certain 2011 Diavel units due to a risk of the license plate holder coming loose. The license plate holder on the Ducati Diavel floats over the rear tire thanks to a bracket attached to the swingarm. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, brass inserts in the chain guard may become deformed over time, potentially loosening the screws attaching the bracket to the swingarm.
