2003 Ducati 999
I purchased the bike from a dealer in 2004. It had approx 2000 miles on it when purchased. It currently has 3,844 miles on it. There have been no modifications to this bike - it is completely stock and looks as new as the day I purchased it. The last time I rode this bike was 2006 - It has been sitting in my garage, unridden on its stand (pitbull) and covered since then. It has always been covered and protected. I usually started it about 2-3 times per year and kept it clean. However, I have not started it in approx 1 year and the bike is currently not running. I believe it needs a new battery. I can put the charger on it and the electronics work but the ignition does not. Otherwise, there may be bad gas, it will need an oil change, service, etc. Obviously since the bike has not been operated for a while it will need a tuneup and some work to get ready for the street again. The bike is being sold in a open auction here, as it. The buyer is responsible for getting the bike back up to working condition so please consider work you may have put into it before placing a bid. Cosmetically, it looks like a new bike. My intention was to hold it infinitely as a collector's item but I need to part with it for various reasons. Please no lectures on how it was stored, not started, etc.:) I know... There is no reserve on this auction. Highest bidder gets it as is. I have the title and all original keys (black and red) Buyer is responsible for shipping - you can pick it up, transport it, whatever works best for you. Mon, 24 Sep 2012When Ducati announced the updates for its 2013 Multistrada 1200 lineup, the Italian manufacturer was surprisingly quiet about the line’s most notable upgrade, the Ducati Skyhook Suspension. All we were told was the system is a semi-active suspension using Sachs components that adjusts its damping settings to varying riding conditions. Ducati has now provided more information about the DSS technology which will be standard equipment on the three “S” versions of the Multistrada 1200, the Touring model, the sportier Pikes Peak model and the new flagship Granturismo model.
2012 FIM Road Racing Homologation List Released – Ducati 1199 Panigale Not Listed

The list includes all the motorcycles that are allowed to compete in each of those world championships. Notable for its absence however is the new 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale.
