Ducati Superbike description

Available is a great condition 2000 Ducati 748 Sport bike. Please see all pics as this sport bike is in all original condition with 16k miles and few to no imperfections. Previous owner was a mature adult rider with an impressive motorcycle collection. This Ducati was one of 2 in his Ducati 748 collection. The title is clear and in hand and mileage will remain the same as this bike will not be ridden much before the sale.

Recent upgrades/parts replaced:
-new battery installed a month ago.
-tires/brakes in good condition.
-all stock in original condition.
-low mileage.
-ready to ride.

I personally rode this bike before listing it and it rides great. All forward gears engage as they should and the bike has smooth power delivery. All electrical accessories work as they should and the chain, sprocket and tires are in good condition as well. Of the 2 Ducatis that will be listed this bike is stock and really is ready to ride. Previous maintenance history is unknown so timing belt and valve adjustment maintenance may have been performed or may be due. This bike is truly "turn key" and ready for the riding season but these Ducati models can require maintenance for upkeep as can most any motorcycle.  If you have any questions please make sure to ask before bidding. I can add pictures to the ad or message them to anyone who may have requests.

Ducati Forms New Brazilian Subsidiary After Collapse of Importer Izzo

Mon, 22 Oct 2012

Ducati announced the start of a new wholly-owned subsidiary for the Brazilian market after its former importing partner, the Izzo Group, ceased operations. The Izzo Group shut itself down earlier this month following a slow decline. At one point, the Izzo Group was one of Brazil’s largest motorcycle importers, with a list of manufacturers including Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Husqvarna, MV Agusta, Triumph and Zero.

WSBK: 2012 Moscow Results

Mon, 27 Aug 2012

The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick.
