All required maintenance has been performed by PJ's Ducati/ Triumph in Albuquerque. Everything pictured in photo bucket album, plus a bit more is included in the sale. To sum it up, this is a; “turnkey collectors dream.” The Ducati is beyond explanation and my poor photo skills can't bring out the true quality of the motorcycle. You're buying a virtually new 2000 Ducati 996S with factory options. I'm the second owner and I have a clear title for the Ducati.

The Ducati has never seen a rainy day, never been abused, tracked, wrecked or dropped. Always stored in my garage on stands and covered. Started weekly and run up to temp, to maintain seal integrity. Oil has been changed every 6 months and coolant flushed every year. It's as you see it from the factory. All maintenance is up-to-date. It's a definite garage king.:-)

No International Bidders (this includes Canada, Mexico and South America will be permitted and no means no, so please don't ask.

I will not allow a US proxy bidder, for any International EBay members wanting to purchase the Ducati. I will report the violation directly to EBay.

There is no expressed or understood warranty and all sales are final, no returns.

The buyer is responsible for all fees, registration, taxes from their own state; buyer is also responsible for all shipping costs. I will be present for your shipper to except and load the motorcycle. All accessories will be sent at buyer expense via carrier and not sent with the motorcycle, for your protection. Shipping cost will not be included in the purchase price for accessories; will be determined by the buyer zip code.

Non-paying buyers will be reported to EBay.

Please, don’t participate in the bidding unless you are prepared to complete the sale. If you don't have the money already in hand, simply don't bid. Buyer will provide a $1000.00 non-refundable security deposit thru PayPal, NLT 24 hours following the close of the auction. You should have no problem with this, if you truly intend to complete the purchase. The remainder of the balance will be sent to me w/tracking # confirmation, NLT 5 working days after completion of the auction. I will accept a bankers check, bank money order, bank transfer or personal check. (Please be aware, if you pay by personal check there will be a minimum of a 10 day waiting period for the check to clear my bank, before I will release the motorcycle and title.)

Please, let's don't waste time, I will accept trades for a “BMW HP2 Sport, HP4, 1200R Series, Ducati 999R or Panigale/S” in similar condition/ low mileage,) I'm not interested in Japanese motorcycles. If you have any questions concerning the Ducati, please don't hesitate to ask. I'll respond as quickly as I'm able.

I reserve the right to end the auction, as the Ducati is for sale locally!

The Ducati 996S will continue to increase in value and will someday soon meet or surpass it's original purchase price of $20,995.00

*****Good Luck, thanks for your interest and happy bidding!*****

Dramatic start to the 848 Challenge season

Tue, 10 Apr 2012

The 2012 Ducati 848 Challenge got off to a dramatic start at Brands Hatch this weekend as the weather played a disruptive influence on the outcome of both races. Cold, rainy conditions prevailed on both Easter Sunday and Monday forcing the field of 33 riders to kick-off the season racing on wet tyres in greasy track conditions. With a number of riders having to start from pit lane, Race 1 got off to an eventful start with two riders falling at Paddock Hill as all the riders jostled for places and wheels touched.

Motorcycle Results From The 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.

Ducati Expands to Argentina, Assembly Plant in Brazil Now Fully Operational

Thu, 20 Jun 2013

Ducati has extended its South American operations, signing a new import and distribution agreement for Argentina. The deal follows the opening of Ducati‘s new show room in So Paulo, Brazil, and the new assembly plant in Manaus, Brazil, reaching full operation of Complete Knock Down kits of the Diavel and Monster 796. The South American expansion really kicked off last October, when Ducati established its own Brazilian subsidiary following the collapse of its previous importing partner, the Izzo Group.
