Ducati Sport Touring description

Up for sale is my red 2006 Ducati ST3. I have owned the bike since 2012 and it had 11805 miles when I purchased the bike. The bike is in very good condition ridden an average of a little over 3,000 miles a year. Bike is mechanically solid as I perform all maintenance (Records) as a Ducati enthusiast for over 15 years. Body work is excellent with no rash a a few small spots that have been touched up. I just installed a new set of belts. new brake rotors along with a brand new back tire. Bike is mostly stock with a gold chain and an extra power let socket on the dash. This Ducati is ready for the mountains today!!!!

When I purchased the bike it was black. I recently bought a ST3s ABS and I could not let go of the black so I swapped out the body work. The plastic has only 13,000 miles, the bike is NOT a ST3s ABS. In 2012 I had an electrical issue that I resolved by bypassing the ECU's starting protocol. The bike has performed flawlessly for over 18,000 mile since the issue was resolved. The side effect of the procedure is that the engine light stays on and the bike will crank in gear with the kickstand down. The kickstand safety feature is not lost as the bike will not fire in gear with the kickstand deployed.

I have loved this bike and at this time it still out handles my new ST3s. I have owned 3 Ducati ST3's and I have enjoyed this one above the others. Super Sweet bike ready for a new home!!

Jeremy Toye Wins 92nd Running Of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

On his first attempt at the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, road racer Jeremy Toye set a record in the premiere Open Class to win the category aboard a 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R, celebrating the 30th year of the legendary Ninja brand. Prior to setting foot on the hill, Toye was confident he could get among the class leaders, aiming to beat the outright Pikes Peak motorcycle record, which was set by Carlin Dunne in 2012 with a time of 9:52.819. While that record remains intact, Toye was able to set a time of 9:58.687 to win the Open Class, finishing 6sec ahead of his closest rival, Fabrice Lambert aboard a Ducati.

Ducati CEO Domenicali Talks 899 Panigale, Audi and MotoGP Performance

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

Following the debut of the new 899 Panigale during Audi‘s presentation at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Ducati held a separate, smaller press conference with the motorcycle press at its headquarters in Bologna, Italy, to discuss the new “Supermid” sportbike and the company’s Chief Executive Officer Claudio Domenicali discussed the state of the company after a year under its new ownership. “Audi is a stakeholder who wishes to be involved in the technical development of the company and to focus its efforts on product development. Now, a year after the acquisition, it is time to take stock of the initial results and look to the future with a positive and proactive attitude,” says Domenicali.  “Ducati achieved record sales in 2011 and again in 2012 when over 44,000 motorcycles were delivered to customers.
