Ducati SPORT CLASSIC 1000 description
Purchased new in December 2005 and dealer serviced per mfr. recommended intervals. One owner, garaged, but frequently used, and dropped twice, low speed, once each side, resulting in cosmetic damage. Pegs replaced each side, otherwise the tank has a scrape on one side, and the handlebars have chipped the finish at the edge of the logo on each side of the tank. Tank is original and was not part of the recall. Edges of the black seat cover have been scraped at rear on each side. There is minor corrosion on some of the steel fittings and the exhaust pipes near the engine. The factory paint finish on the engine has also flaked off and crackled in some areas. An early recall fitted extenders to the front turn signals, and they have been bent on both sides. The most recent services have been by Fast by Ferracci in Willow Grove including a major service at 15,000 miles that included belts, valve adjustments, chain, and tires. PA state inspection by Ferracci is current as of July 2016, and included a new rear tire (Pirelli Phantoms front and back). When the bike was new, Martin Eurosports swapped the original clip-ons for ST4 risers. No cabling was modified, and the original clip-ons are saved for possible re-installation. California smog filter removed by dealer. Motorcycle runs well, and comes with all three keys, manual, and most service records, especially the recent services. Vehicle is registered and titled in Pennsylvania. Vehicle can be picked up or shipped, seller can assist in locating a shipper, but costs are completely on the buyer.
