1987 Ducati Indiana 650. This was Ducati's attempt at a Sportster like cruiser. 5 speed Electric start, with a (bullet proof) 650 pantah motor... Not sure, but only a hand full (under 1000) made and shipped to the US? Many were savaged for their motors for racing. Often mistaken for an Asian v twin. Rare, and unusual piece of Ducati history. Collectable, ride able, smooth and powerful. A must for the serious Ducati collector. Good condition. 19,364 miles. Named the Anima Hero, this concept looks as if the block of aluminium is morphing to form a space-age bike suited to the metropolis highways of the distant future. The piece sums up the Rizoma values of Innovation, Technology, Style and Exclusivity and was a culmination of 45 days of continuously precise machining conveying what the company says is a "purity of clean-cut edges and crisp contours, which give a sense of lightness..."

Ducati Announces 2012 848evo Racing Contingency Program

Ducati 848evo racers rejoice. Today the company announced racing contingency programs for select series throughout the country. FreedomRoad Financial has partnered with Ducati and is offering substantial cash payments to race winners. Eligible series include CCS, CMRA, CRA, USBA, MRA, OMRRA, WMRRA, AFM and WERA, with cash payments equaling $300 for third place, $600 for second, and $1200 for first, payable via cashier’s check. Ducati and FreedomRoad Financial will support and follow racers with PR activities, including regular updates on ducatiusa.com.

The good news is Ducati managed to trim another second off of Valentino Rossi‘s Day Two test time. The bad news is the Doctor is still over a second behind Casey Stoner. Of course, considering how much faster Stoner has been compared with everyone else at the MotoGP test in Sepang, that’s nothing to be ashamed of.
