Ducati Other description

This is the S version.  comes from the factory with Ohlins Suspension, lighter aluminum wheels, traction control, DDA, and carbon fiber fairings, the S is about 20 pounds lighter the then regular. New it sold for 20k

clean bike, 2,600 miles
I'm the second owner but I bought it from my best friend who took great care of it as well. Comes with factory recommended, and dealer, installed Termignoni exhaust. It has a tastefully done fender eliminator, upgraded aluminum wheels, rear seat cowl, wheel and frame sliders, and new battery. I bought from my friend as a favor but I've always been more of a Japanese sports bike guy so I'm going back to what I prefer. no scratches and has never been dropped.

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.

Massimo Tamburini: 1943 – 2014

Massimo Tamburini, creator of some of the industry’s most iconic motorcycle designs, has succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70. Tamburini was diagnosed with the disease last November and underwent chemotherapy treatment but passed away April 6. Earning renown for designing motorcycles such as the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4, Tamburini’s name will be forever linked with those two companies, as well as Cagiva and helped found Bimota (Tamburini is the “Ta” in the company’s name.) Ducati Restructures Presence in India, Cutting Ties with Distributor Precision Motor

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Ducati announced it is ending its relationship with importer Precision Motor and setting up its own operations in India. Precision Motors has been Ducati’s official importer since 2008, but the relationship has soured recently with reports of poor customer service and delays in deliveries. Ducati will now begin establishing its own dealer network in India, likely relying on the resources of parent company Audi and other Volkswagen Group brands.
