Highlights From The Troy Bayliss Classic – Video

For the second year running, three-time World Superbike champion, Troy Bayliss’, self-titled slick track motorcycle race was full of action. However, unlike last year, Bayliss took home the crown in front of a capacity crowd of over 6000 people at the Taree Motorcycle Club. Bayliss didn’t win the title easily, as American, and 2009 AMA Grand National champion, Sammy Halbert, set the fastest time during Superpole and challenged the Australian for the first half of the 21-lap race.

Audi Makes 750 Million Euro Offer for Ducati

Audi has offered 750 million euros (US$995 million) for Ducati, according to a report from Italian publication Corriere di Bologna. The offer is reportedly also include Ducati‘s debts. Corriere reports those debts may turn out to be much lower than the 200 million euro estimate that was being passed around in rumors.

Ducati was absent at a recent MotoGP test at the Circuit of the Americas track in Austin, Texas, attended by Honda and Yamaha‘s riders. The Kentucky Kid, Hayden, and Texas’ own Spies recently hit the COTA track on the new Ducati 1199 Panigale R for the sportbike’s press launch.
