I am reluctantly offering for sale one of my favorite bikes. It's time to thin the herd. I have owned this bike for almost 9 years and have ridden it a total of 12 miles. I purchased the bike at an auction and met the previous owner after winning the bid. He explained the complete restoration and installing a zero mile speedometer. I have no paperwork or receipts to back up any overhaul claims. I also do not know the mileage on the bike before the restoration. It starts, runs and stops great. I have replaced the batteries and put in fresh gas and started it occasionally over the years. It always starts right up, idles smoothly with no funny noises. Tires are like new, chrome is shiny. No dents, dings, rips, tears or fading. the exhaust has the shorty muffler and is a little loud for me. I am no expert on these Ducatis but have been told it all looks to have all the original parts except that the fenders may have been red at one time. Tue, 17 May 2011Leon Morris (Buildbase/JHP Ducati) took both wins at Round Two of the Rapid Solicitors Ducati 848 Challenge rounding out a very challenging weekend for all the rider and teams at Assen. The changeable weather conditions made for last-minute tyre decisions and tricky racing conditions as the rain came in heavy bursts throughout the weekend, leaving a number of riders out on track on the wrong tyres. Qualifying on Saturday was typical, as the weather rendered two of the three qualifying sessions damp, leaving only the early afternoon session in which all the riders posted a fast time.
Lorenzo Wants to Race at Assen Despite Breaking Collarbone in Three Places
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Jorge Lorenzo underwent two hours of surgery earlier this morning in Barcelona, Spain, to insert eight screws and a titanium plate to secure his fractured collarbone. By the afternoon, the Yamaha rider was back in the Netherlands to prove he is healthy enough to race in tomorrow’s TT Assen. The reigning MotoGP champion broke his collarbone in three places after high-siding in a wet practice session Thursday.

Thu, 01 Dec 2011The partnership between Ducati and Mercedes-AMG has produced some new fruit, this time a Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG inspired by the Ducati Streetfighter 848′s “Fighter Yellow” color. It’s been over a year since Ducati and Mercedes-Benz’ performance brand AMG signed a cooperation agreement at the 2010 LA Auto Show. Back in September, the two brands came together to produce the special edition Ducati Diavel AMG at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
