Ducati Multistrada description

2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak, 2,720 miles, 2 mature owners. This bike was bought new from Trevor and Carlin Dunne's Ducati of Santa Barbara, the same shop and team responsible for two consecutive Pikes Peak International Hill Climb class wins, 2011, and 2012 on a Pikes Peak Multistrada. Trevor Dunne was then given carte blanche by the original owner to turn this bike into the ultimate street Multistrada spending over $6,000. in parts alone. These parts include: Termignoni full racing exhaust kit with Trevor Dunne modded baffle, performance ECU and air filter, Pirelli Super Corsa tires, Driven 525-15 front sprocket, Driven 525-42 rear sprocket and sprocket carrier, RK Racing GB525GXW chain, Alt Rider header gaurd, 1" handlebar risers, Ducati center stand, Ducati heated grips, smoked oversized windscreen (includes standard clear windscreen and carbon fiber number plate), Ducati side panniers, Ducati tank bag and carbon fiber tank protector. Includes parts and services receipts along with original take off parts, owners manual, and tool kit. Gas tank side covers signed by Trevor and Carlin Dunne in black felt pen but mostly worn off. 600 mile service and routine service at 1,900 miles, 5-2-2015 done at Ducati Santa Barbara.
Does NOT include California personalized licence plate.
Two known flaws; a little finger nail clipping sized scratch on the gas tank and the fuel sender went out again. I have installed a 2.7k ohm resister in the ecu sender plug to read three bars on the gauge and turn off the low fuel warning light. This is the second latest and greatest fuel sender and no sense putting in another one, just fill up at a 150 miles and you'll be fine.

Back when GPs were really good: Part 2

Tue, 01 Jan 2013

Rossi versus Gibernau at Brno in 2003. Most of the time Rossi and Gibernau came together, it was a classic in the making but while Rossi on the factory Honda hunting down Gibernau on the satellite Honda is well worth watching, the threat of a looming Bayliss on the Ducati makes this one even better. Gibernau, fresh from a win in Germany at the previous round - having beaten Rossi to the line by 0.060 seconds - was full of fight.

Ducati Celebrates The Start Of Production For The Monster 1200

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

Ducati loves having a reason to celebrate, and as the very first Monster 1200 rolled off the production line Monday, yet another reason to party presented itself. Following Ducati tradition, the start of production (SOP) for the Monster 1200, as well as of every new Ducati model, is met with a small ceremony. Here’s how it went down: in front of the entire factory, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali and Production Director Silvano Fini started the new bike.

Jeremy Toye Wins 92nd Running Of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

On his first attempt at the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, road racer Jeremy Toye set a record in the premiere Open Class to win the category aboard a 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R, celebrating the 30th year of the legendary Ninja brand. Prior to setting foot on the hill, Toye was confident he could get among the class leaders, aiming to beat the outright Pikes Peak motorcycle record, which was set by Carlin Dunne in 2012 with a time of 9:52.819. While that record remains intact, Toye was able to set a time of 9:58.687 to win the Open Class, finishing 6sec ahead of his closest rival, Fabrice Lambert aboard a Ducati.
