Ducati Multistrada description

2012 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Touring S Model. I bought this bike brand new from my local Ducati dealer last year. It has some nice add ons and only has 543 miles. This is one of a few Ducatis I own and never got around to riding it as much as I planned. I added the genuine Ducati painted topcase and rack and the full Termignoni exhaust system to make it sound like a real Ducati. I installed the O2 sensor bypass plugs so it would actually run properly under 3500 rpms ( a common problem with the new Ducs). Last, I installed the GPS mount shown in the pics (you can have the Zumo 550 cradle shown as well if you want it) and also a tall touring windshield made by CeeBailey (the stock windshield is perfect and included as well). There's not a lot to say about the bike...if you are looking at it then you know that the Touring "S" is the Multi model to have. Add the nearly $3000.00 Termi exhaust and it's perfect! The bike is in flawless condition, owned by a Ducati fanatic, stored in our heated garage plugged into a battery tender. Never down, damaged, or injured in any way! Serious buyers are welcome to see the bike before purchasing. There is a loan on the bike thru Freedom Financial which will be paid off immediately upon full payment (we can work this detail out as I have done many times before). If you need to ship the bike I will gladly assist, but expense is that of the buyer. I have used JC Motors many times and have been very happy with them. All books, keys, etc are included. Basically, you are getting a nearly brand new bike that I paid almost $23,000 for a whole lot less!! No trades, please only bid if you have funds or financing in hand and are ready to buy.

Capirossi Announces Retirement at Conclusion of 2011 Season

Thu, 01 Sep 2011

Loris Capirossi announced he will retire at the end of the 2011 MotoGP season, closing off a quarter century of racing including 22 years at the Grand Prix level and three World Championships. “It’s an important moment in my career, and the decision I made has come about after a lot of reflection,” says Capriossi. “I’m happy that after 25 years, of which 22 were in the world championship, I’m at a point where I can still have a smile on my lips as I part ways, even if it’s difficult to think that I won’t be riding a bike next year.” The announcement was made during a press conference at Misano for the upcoming San Marino Grand Prix, the final Italian stop of the 2011 season.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.
