Ducati Multistrada description

2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S TOURING, Do you care to ride something special and not another, me too, Honda or Harley? Maybe you have always wanted something sporty, something fast, something red but could never justify it for yourself for practical reasons. Its an understandable sentiment, but I have a bike for sale that expertly bridges the gap between sport and smart, and very well might be what you are looking for. Meet the Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring. This is a bike that checks all the boxes, offers uncompromising performance, and leaves you making no excuses to anybody. This motorcycle is what you want it to be: You want a fast bike? This bike is equipped with a 150 hp engine, radially mounted Brembo brakes, and a top of the line Ohlins electronically adjustable suspension. Its the stuff club level racers dream about. You want a comfortable bike? This Ducati offers ergonomically correct seats (which are more than can be said for many a motorcycle manufacturer right off the cuff), electronically adjustable suspension, heated grips with wind deflectors, and a manually adjustable windshield contributes to rider comfort. What about the passenger? A rear seat, seemingly designed exclusively, for her, supports passenger duty. My wife and I rode two-up to Toronto, and she loved every second on the road! You want a safe bike? The Multistrada 1200S is equipped with ABS, multiple levels of traction control, multiple engine output levels, a full toolset (including a CO2 charged tire inflation kit), and a wheelbase that extends past the passengers seat meaning this motorcycle is a truly safe year-round machine. You want a practical/convenient bike? Factory integrated Givi hard bags and generous under-seat stowage keyed to the bike, a covered cubby-hole, integrated GPS preparation (Garmin Zumo 665 available), and two Powerlet outlets ensure this is motorcycle that offers something that other bikes do not. Flexibility. Stop wondering, how can I take this with me. Ill save you the trouble throw it in the bike, or strap it to the standard rear luggage rack. It is your choice. Finally, this bike has a center-stand in addition to the side-stand. Do you forget your bike key in your pocket after gearing up from time to time? Thats cool, the Ducati Multistrada 1200S has you covered because it is equipped with a keyless ignition system. All you have to do is mount up, start up, and ride off like a boss. You want good value for your money? This bike can get over 200 miles on the highway while burning just five gallons of fuel (total tank volume is 5.2 gallons). As an added bonus, the Multistrada 1200S is cheap to insure since it qualifies as an Adventure Touring/Enduro bike. Four distinct and discernable riding modes means getting the bike tailored to your ride is only a couple of button presses away! $12,000.00 7039452086

How do 1000s compare to the 800s

Wed, 09 Nov 2011

Now MotoGP has completed its transformation from 800 to 1000cc, how do the lap times between the different bikes compare using Valencia and the post-season test as a benchmark.. Yesterday, Dani Pedrosa was the quickest 1000 on his Honda RC213V setting a time of 1:32.186. To find the quickest time from the outgoing 800 era you have to look at his current Repsol Honda team-mate, Casey Stoner, but it wasn't set on a Honda.
