Ducati Multistrada description

2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S TOURING, Asking $12,000, negotiable. Bike currently has 24,400 miles If you are interested in this bike, then the chances are that you know all the relevant facts and features regarding it. Suffice it to say, good on you for not going for the traditional candy-assed sport bikes, and instead showing interest in a true year-round performance machine! That being the case I will address question below: FAQs These are questions I have received regarding my Multistrada 1200S. Chances are, you may have them as well: FAQ 1) Has your Ducati ever been down/crashed? Answer 1) Ill put it simply like this The only thing on my bike that has ever touched the ground are the tires. Definitely the rear tire, most of the time the front. FAQ 2) Are you the original owner? Answer 2) Yes. I bought this motorcycle back in 21 June 2010 from Coleman Power Sports in Falls Church, VA. I was either the second or third official owner of a Multistrada 1200S in VA. FAQ 3) What kind of riding do you do with the bike? Answer 3) General commuting to and from work. I also travel, solo and two-up as much as possible. This bike is a -ton of fun to ride. My bike has seen everything but a racetrack which is kind of a shame, actually. FAQ 4) If this bike is so great, why do you want to sell it? Answer 4) Life is short, so I believe in riding as many motorcycles as possible before I die. Also, I want to get into dirt riding more. FAQ 5) So, have you taken this bike, off road? Answer 5) Sort of. I have ridden on medium gravel as well as light single and dual track. This bike is the reason I want to get into more into dirt riding. While I have never had any close calls, I do not want to push it. Still, its a hell of a gateway drug! FAQ 6) 24,000+ miles seems kind of high? Answer 6) I didnt buy my Multistrada to stare at it. Look, this bike is running a detuned superbike drivetrain, which was designed to handle WAY more horsepower than its making in this particular application. Frankly the mileage on my bike is nothing, and I would not hesitate to take it on a trip around the good ol US of A if I could get the time off from work. Additionally, all services have been completed at the Falls Church or Woodbridge Coleman Power Sports stores. Only two men have ever turned a wrench on my bike, and they are the certified Ducati technicians at each respective division of Colemans. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 703-945-2086. Thanks. $12,000.00 7039452086

Would you pay £115,000 for this?

Mon, 25 Oct 2010

A HONDA NR750 - one of the most hi-tech production motorcycles ever built - is up for grabs on eBay with an asking price of £115,000.The bike was produced in the early 1990s by Honda to showcase the company's engineering skills; a 32-valve, oval piston V4 engine, Carbon Fibre Composite bodywork and titanium-tinted screen are just some of the revolutionary features that warranted the bike's £37,000 original price tag. This particular 1993 model has covered 5000 miles from new - quite a few for a bike with such a heady price tag. We'd have expected it to come with delivery mileage only. It's being sold by an Essex-based dealer who describes the bike as 'IMMACULATE'.

Radical Ducati: RAD02

Fri, 14 Jan 2011

I found this Ducati on tinterweb and I love it. Its RAD02 Pursang name hardly trips off the tongue, but the bike is a thing of beauty in the eyes of this beholder. Based around a Multistrada 1100 engine, with Keihin FCR41 carbs, Ohlins front and rear suspension and the swinging arm off a Monster S2R all bolted onto a custom frame.

Charge Up you iPhone While You Ride

Fri, 12 Feb 2010

Motorcyclists can now enjoy total freedom on the open road confident in the knowledge that their cell phones, GPS, MP3 players and latest generation of iPhone/iTouch devices will remain fully-charged and in-service for the duration of the ride thanks to Powerlet’s plug and play systems. “Our product line was inspired by personal experience and the realization that there were no worthwhile options for clean, reliable on-board power for cell phones, stereos and GPS devices,” says Powerlet Products founder Adam Bonislawaski. “Before we came on to the scene, riders would bust out the black tape and wire strippers and cut into their bike’s fragile wiring to tie-in a cheap cigar lighter to power their devices.
