Ducati Monster is Kids Play

Mon, 16 Mar 2009 00:00:00 -0700

My parents never indulged my fascination and passion for motorcycles as a kid, hoping it was merely a passing phase that I would grow out of like wetting the bed. Well nearly 30 years later, I no longer sleep on plastic sheets, but I am just as crazy about motorcycles as ever. If you donít want to make the same mistake with your kids, Peg Perego has developed a Streetfighter for little ones.

Moto2 needs more radical bikes

Wed, 05 Sep 2012 00:00:00 -0700

Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.

Trailer for Fastest

Wed, 07 Sep 2011 00:00:00 -0700

This is the trailer for the latest MotoGP specific documentary from filmmaker Mark Neal. The documentary, narrated again by Ewan McGregor, follows the 2010 and 2011 MotoGP campaigns of Valentino and tackling his new rivals in the youth contingent of Jorge Lorenzo, Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa and Ben Spies. Going behind-the-scenes Fastest charts the high and lows of last season, including Rossi's career-threatening crash at Mugello and his spectacular return to racing just 41 days later at the German Grand Prix, and shows his debut on the Ducati for the 2011 season.
