Ducati Multistrada description

2005 Ducati Multistrada 1000DS, uniquely Ducati - The exceptional performance of the Multistrada 1000 DS is derived from its impressive twin-cylinder 1000 DS engine and top-of-the-line Superbike components. Despite its revolutionary design, the Multistrada is still uniquely Ducati, with its trademark trellis frame, finely-calibrated suspension for precision handling, and braking system on par with that of top sport models. The unmistakable Ducati trellis frame combines with the fully adjustable Showa long travel fork to provide smooth performance as well as safe, secure handling. The fuel injected 1000 DS is the most advanced, air-cooled Ducati Desmo engine ever. To personalize your Multistrada to perfection, take your pick from a wide selection of Ducati Performance accessories, such as color-coordinated panniers, luggage rack and even a GPS navigation system.

Moto2 needs more radical bikes

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.

2010 Ducati Multistrada: crashed

Mon, 08 Mar 2010

THIS IS WHAT a 2010 Ducati Multistrada looks like when it's been slung up a gravel road at well over 60mph. The word on the street is that journo Costa Mouzouris of CMGonline is the culprit behind the battled-scarred machine; reports say he lobbed it while on the bike's world press launch in Lanzarote. In true Ducati post-topple fashion, the bike appears to have spewed the contents of its sump over the floor, as well as sustaining a fair bit of cosmetic damage.

Should this Ducati Video be Rated R?

Wed, 13 May 2009

I’m feeling a little uncomfortable after watching Ducati’s recently posted “Colour Therapy” video.  Are you prepared to watch a Ducati technician strip a Ducati Monster of it’s plastic to reveal it’s true nakedness?  Cover your eyes if you are under 18. Ducati posted this video on YouTube to promote their “Colour Therapy”.  “Colour Therapy” is there way of customizing the colour of your Ducati Monster motorcycle with an easily interchangeable kit that is available at Ducati dealerships.  I have personally picked out a new colour for the Ducati that I don’t own. Hit the jump to see how a Ducati technician strips a Ducati Monster to “re-dress” it with some new colours.
