£4 part (almost) stops play
Wed, 11 May 2011When I dropped off my trashed 848 to George White, along with a box of parts, I didn't realise how much work would be involved in preparing the bike for the 848 Challenge. If I did, I probably wouldn't have had the front to show up, point to a date on the calendar two weeks ahead, make everyone a cup of tea and then clear off. Truth be told, it's taken a huge effort to get the bike to a place where it's got everything it needs to go racing and I wouldn't be heading to Assen without the effort of Paul Sands (Sandzee) and Mike Collis at George White who worked all sorts of hours to get it sorted.
Panoramic from WDW2012
Fri, 29 Jun 2012Never in my life have I seen so many Ducatis, but then that's hardly surprising as I took this photo at World Ducati Week 2012, in Misano, last week. Although I knew it was going to be packed from wall-to-wall with the Bologna-made bikes, I never realised there would be so many Panigales there. Of all of the big-cc sportsbikes, I reckon one in five was a Panigale.
Audi A1 Featuring Ducati 1199 Panigale Tricolore Colors
Mon, 15 Oct 2012Another sign of the Audi-Ducati relationship has popped up at the motorcycle manufacturer’s headquarters in Bologna, Italy. Pictured here is an Audi A1 sports hatchback dressed in paint inspired by the Ducati 1199 Panigale S Tricolore. The special color scheme includes the Ducati logo on the hood, Italian red, white and green striping and red alloy wheels.
