Ducati Monster description

2011 Ducati Monster 796 super low miles and clean.
Custom upgrades include:
Competition Werkes exhaust, Ducabike cafe bar clip ins, CRG lane splitter bar end mirrors, Competition Werkes fender eliminator kit and carbon fiber front fender.  Bike always draws attention when it's parked.
Selling due to the arrival of my first child last year.
Only thing bike needs is inspected.  Registration was not renewed last year as it was the first year I didn't ride, but kept on a trickle charger and started regularly. Bike fires right up.

Anti clockwise Knockhill and riding in the North East with GP winners.

Wed, 06 Jun 2012

I was both nervous and excited for my first ever reverse direction track day last week at Knockhill. From rushing downhill into the left hand off camber hairpin to sweeping up onto the start/finish, nothing bears any resemblance to riding round clockwise. I actually raced my 350LC in the opposite direction in 1982 but it still took a few laps to get my head round what essentially is a brand new track for Scotland.

2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 Spied

Mon, 08 Aug 2011

A photograph has emerged of what is reported to be a new, smaller version of the  Ducati Streetfighter featuring the company’s 848 engine. The photograph, posted by a user on the Ducati.ms forum, was reportedly snapped outside Ducati’s factory in Bologna. The banana yellow motorcycle sports a five-bolt hub on the rear wheel, similar to the Ducati 848EVO, whereas the current 1098cc Streetfighter has a six-bolt rear hub (pictured below from our 2009 Ducati Streetfighter review).

“Ducati Remains Ducati” Says Audi CEO

Thu, 12 Jul 2012

Audi AG Chief Executive Officer Rupert Stadler addressed Ducati‘s workforce in Bologna, Italy, for the first time to address his company’s impending acquisition of the motorcycle maker. Joined by members of Ducati‘s management including President and CEO Gabriele Del Torchio, as well as Thomas Sigi, Audi’s head of human resources, Stadler met with Ducati’s entire workforce of nearly 1000 people to discuss the future of the company. The address comes after the European Union granted its blessing to the acquisition.
