Ducati Monster description

For Sale is my 2006 Ducati Monster S4RS.

This is one great bike, incredible power from the 4 valve, L-Twin, Testastretta liquid cooled 998cc super bike motor.  This engine is amazing, extremely flat power curve that keeps you happy throughout the rev range.  This bike is meant to be rode hard and enjoyed and I know longer live in a location that provides a good environment for that (Miami).

This Monster has 17,400 miles and will go up slightly over the next few weeks but not much.  The engine is in great shape.  I have all the service records up to the 16k service where the valves and belts were done.  The maintenance one these bikes are crucial and you can rest assured this one has been taking care of.  The bike has CRG adjustable levers, bar end mirrors, and a modified headlight bracket to lower the headlight position for better looks.  Also the factory exhaust cans have been removed and a termignoni oval can slipped on to the factory header/cat.  Easy to install factory pipes back on there or install your own full exhaust.  The bike will include (not pictured) the matching head light fairing, passenger foot pegs, and a set of clip-on handle bars.  I will also include the pitbull rear stand.  The metzler tires are in good shape and have lots of life left approximately 70% rear and 80% front.  This bike has been great to ride but it is time for it to go to a good home.

The bike does have a documented history of a low speed accident where it was laid down.  The title is clean and clear and the damage was minimal.  All repair work was done by a Ducati dealership around 8k miles (all documented).  The only physical damage still visible on the bike is a light scuff on the water pump.  Appears to have been very low speed, parking lot perhaps, not sure, it was two owners before me.  Absolutely no frame or fork damage.  All details were documented in Ducati's service procedure.  Condition of this bike is 9 on a scale from 1-10 only due to that minor scuff on the water pump and a very small tear on the seat.  Mechanically this bike is sound and will provide an intense riding experience for anyone who is willing to push it.

Ducati Monster is Kids Play

Mon, 16 Mar 2009

My parents never indulged my fascination and passion for motorcycles as a kid, hoping it was merely a passing phase that I would grow out of like wetting the bed. Well nearly 30 years later, I no longer sleep on plastic sheets, but I am just as crazy about motorcycles as ever. If you don’t want to make the same mistake with your kids, Peg Perego has developed a Streetfighter for little ones.
