Ducati Monster description
2002 Ducati Monster S4, Awesome 4 valve liquid cooled beast! 916 motor, excellent condition, great sounding exhaust! - The Monster S4 is the “bad boy” of the Monster family. The equation was simple: make the most powerful, best handling Monster ever. The liquid cooled 916 cc Desmoquattro fuel injected L-Twin is derived directly from our World Superbike champion race bikes. The big bore / short stroke design of the engine delivers tractable power over the widest rpm range, so you’re “on the gas sooner” and shift less. Combining 100+ horsepower and light weight (423 lbs.) results in an inspiring power-to-weight ratio while a close ratio gearbox adds to the excitement. The S4’s handling is just as impressive as its power. The lightweight Superbike derived trellis frame ensures confidence in the turns. The suspension features fully adjustable front forks and rear shock. The rising rate, ride height adjustable rear suspension includes an aluminum swingarm, lowering “unsprung weight” and improving damping control. A fat 180/55 ZR 17 rear tire and a 120/70 ZR 17 front are mounted on super light Marchesini five spoke wheels. Improved ground clearance allows increased lean angles to take advantage of the S4’s handling prowess. MCC Motor Cycle Center serves Chicago, Illinois and all of the Chicagoland area. 848 Challenge: Silverstone race results
Mon, 26 Sep 2011Race 1: Race 1 produced another memorable 848 Challenge race, with Mike Edwards (MSKworks.com) in determined mood to record his first race victory of the season. But Kenny Gilbertson (AOR/Boast Plumbing), Leon Morris, and Robbie Brown (Ducati Manchester) were to push him all the way, with the front four riders each having held the lead by the half way point. Further back Mark Cheetham (Shorrocks Motorcycles) was trading places with ex-Champion Darren Fry (JHP/Buildbase Ducati) with Aaron Brown (Ladybirds Ducati) and Ricky Holden (Holden Racing) less that a second apart.

Mon, 16 Jan 2012Last week, we wrote about Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden and Ducati’s annual Wrooom ski and press event in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy. While Ducati, Rossi and Hayden are under intense pressure to perform better in 2012 than they did in the 2011 MotoGP season, the Wrooom event provided the riders and the team a chance to unwind before getting back to work. Ducati has released a video featuring its two factory riders enjoying the slopes at the ski result in the Italian Alps.Watch the video after the jump of Rossi and Hayden riding a Ducati-adorned Ski-Doo and snowboarding.
