ALSO REPLACED ALL RESERVOIRS WITH RIZOMA, AND RIZOMA FRAME SLIDERS.. REPLACED SEAT WITH A LOW RISE RACE SEAT (OEM DUCATI PART).... THE UNDER TAIL HAS LED FLUSH MOUNT BLINKERS, WITH A SLEEK PLATE MOUNT FROM NRG RACING THAT WERE THE CLEANEST PAIR I FOUND AND STILL THE CLEANEST LOOK TO DATE. Wed, 21 Sep 2011Ducati announced its upcoming new 1198 replacement will be called the 1199 Panigale (pronounced “Pan-ee-gah-lee” for a region of Italy). The 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale will have its full unveiling at the Nov. 10-13 2011 EICMA show in Milan.
Report: Ducati Sold to Audi for US$1.13 Billion
Tue, 17 Apr 2012Reuters is reporting Audi has reached a deal with Investindustrial to acquire Ducati for a price of 860 million euros (US$1.13 billion). Citing two unnamed sources familiar with the deal, Reuters reports the purchase price includes Ducati‘s debts, estimated by one of those sources at below 200 million euros (US$262.6 million). As previously reported, the deal will be officially announced April 18, ahead of the annual shareholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.

Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
