Ducati Hypermotard description

I'm sell my most recent turbocharged Ducati project. I purchased the bike new from DucatiScottdale in Decemeber of 2007. After a 1,200 mile break in period and built the turbocharger system myself (with a little help from my friends in the DucCutters club).

The 1100 ‘S’ is 2-kg (4.4 lbs) lighter than the standard model thanks to the forged alloy Marchesini wheels shod with sticky Pirelli Diablo Corsa III tires. It also comes with an Ohlins rear shock, reworked 50mm Marzocchi forks and Brembo Monobloc radial calipers from the 1098. You’ll also get carbon fiber fork protectors, timing belt covers, side tail covers and front mudguard.

The bike is 100% ridable and very powerful. The only reason I'm sell it is I had to have spinal surgery last year and it doesn't look like I'm going to be riding sportbikes any more. I know, it's been a real bummer for me...

The bike has not been dyno'ed, but I have setup the RapidBike Mod 3 using the DDA for feed back. I've put over 2,500 miles on the turbo sytem and have it pretty much dialed in (this wasn't my first Ducati turbo project).

If the buyer picks up the bike, I'll be happy to spend some time going over the the complete bike including maintenance, tuning and proper riding methods. I'll also be including the needed accessories for tuning and maintenance.

I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS BIKE FOR BEGINNER RIDERS. The power delivery and maintenance is more geared to experienced bike enthusiast. Do to the nature of sportbikes, the bike is being sold AS-IS, with no applied warranty.

For full bike history, including photos,  google "HyperKromo" or "DucCutters".

Spy Shots of New Ducati Multistrada?

Tue, 04 Aug 2009

We have been sent what the Motorcycle.com team seems to think are spy shots of the new Ducati Multistrada which is supposed to be liquid-cooled and faster.  Judging from the tape on the motorcycle pictured above, it looks like it was out for road testing and they didn’t want to reveal some details of the bike. What more can I say?  They’re spy shots! What do you think of this thing?

Traction control? Yawn...

My long-term Fireblade went back to Honda last week and, seeing as it’s sunny and mild outside now, I’m already missing it. It is one of the best 1000cc sports bikes out there, I don’t care what anyone else says, the way it makes its power is just perfect for fast road use. With the Power Commander 5 fitted and the fuelling sorted my 2011 Blade performed as well if not better than the 2012 version.

Rossi Reveals Ducati Desmosedici GP12

Mon, 30 Jan 2012

Valentino Rossi has released the first photograph of the factory Ducati Desmosedici GP12 ahead of the MotoGP pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. The Doctor and Ducati teammate Nicky Hayden will test the GP12 alongside the other MotoGP teams and their race bikes this week to prepare for the upcoming 2012 season. The GP12 is said to be made of 90% new components, including an aluminum frame, a conventional design for most MotoGP teams but new for Ducati coming off of the ultimately unsuccessful carbon monocoque design.
