Cheers RobertThe Hypermotard was available in 2 configurations the base model and the higher specification S model.The more expensive S featured a durable low friction diamond-like cardon (DLC) black coating to the front fork sliders an hlins remote reservoir rear shock the same Brembo Monobloc brake calipers pre-owned on the lighter forged aluminium Marchesini wheels with a red pin-stripe Pirelli tires plus carbon fibre fork protectors timing belt covers front mudguard fender and tail exhaust side panels. These upgrades made for a kg (. lb) weight saving kg ( lbs) versus kg ( lbs) for the base model. To help with identifying the different models at a glance if the fork protectors are plastic and match the colour of the tank it s almost certainly a base model (although some base model owners change to carbon protectors). Mon, 11 Jan 2010DUCATI MOTOGP men Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden took to the slopes today, at the opening of the 2010 Wrooom event at Madonna di Campiglio’s in Italy's Dolomite region.The annual event celebrates Italy's upcoming motorsport calendar; press conferences with the two Ducati Marlboro Team riders, Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden feature tomorrow, while the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro F1 team will conclude proceedings on Friday.Sadly, there are no 'You've Been Framed' moments. Not one of the Ducati duo goes arse-over-tit in the snow.
2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Specs Released

We know the engine received some updates and the Ohlins suspension had been replaced with a new semi-active “Skyhook” suspension system, and of course, we learned about the new Multistrada 1200S Granturismo variant. It took a couple of days but Ducati has released full specifications for its Multistrada 1200 lineup, shedding some more light on the 2013 models.
Former World Champion Franco Uncini Named Grand Prix Safety Officer
Wed, 20 Feb 2013The International Motorcycling Federation has named Franco Uncini the FIM Grand Prix Safety Officer and circuit inspector. The 1982 500cc Grand Prix World Champion (pictured on the left above) takes over for the retired Claude Danis (right in the photo) to oversee safety in MotoGP. The now 58-year-old Uncini won the 1982 World Championship for Roberto Gallina‘s factory-backed Suzuki.
