Can-Am Spyder RS-SM5 description

Condition:  The bike is in good condition.  Front tires have approximately 70% tread left; the rear tire has about 50% tread left.  Bike comes with a brand new tire (Kumho Ecsta AST - 225/50R15) for the rear.  The right front wheel was mildly curbed when I bought it.  I bought a different front wheel (used) to put on, but have not put it on yet.  If the bike goes for the "Buy It Now" price and the buyer wants, I'll have it installed at the local Can-Am dealer.  All of the gauges and speedometer function properly.  There are no mechanical problems that I know of.  I have tried to be as honest as possible in this description, as I do not want the buyer to expect a "showroom condition" vehicle for the price of a used bike.

Features:  The bike comes with a set of GIVI hard color-matched bags that are pictured and a CHAD touring windshield, also pictured.  The bags are removable, giving the bike a cleaner & sportier look.  I also have the stock sport windshield that is currently on the bike.

History:  I bought the bike used from Honda of Tulsa about two and a half years ago.  I had it serviced there last Spring.

Shipping and payment:  The buyer is responsible for local pick-up.  I will not ship it.  I will accept cash or a bank cashiers check only.

Will The Bombardier Trailtrike Make Trikes Cool?

Thu, 11 Jul 2013

Charles Bombardier, creator of the highly controversial Can-Am Spyder and grandson of the man who invented the snowmobile, thinks he has an idea to make trikes cool. It’s a tall order, considering most motorcycling circles banish three-wheelers as some kind of second class device, not worthy of mingling with true two wheelers. While Bombardier’s Trailtrike still has two wheels in front and one in back, he tells Popular Science the difference is that the Trailtrike can be ridden both on- and off-road.

Santa on a Can-Am Spyder

Fri, 12 Dec 2008

Everyone knows that the market for three and four wheeled motorcycles is fueled by aging motorcycle enthusiasts not wanting to let go of that feeling of being in the wind. Similarly, some voyagers in their aging years are opting to travel on the ground instead of taking to the skies. Santa is no different.
