Buell Lightning description

For Sale - 2005 Buell XB12S Lightning 984cc. 2nd owner with just under 3,200 original miles. I bought this from the original owner, all paperwork included as seen in the picture as a second bike to my Harley. With 4 cars and 2 motorcycles it's time to thin out my collection. This bike has not been ridden much at all in the 3 years that I have owned it so I would suggest a simple seasonal tune up and it is ready to go. This bike is very fast and very light. I also have a second hand signed by Eric Buell air cleaner cover that will be included as seen in the picture, I would like to see this bike go to a good new home and get ridden. Erik Buell Racing Teases 1190RX Production Model

Erik Buell Racing released a photograph on its Facebook page teasing a new streetbike expected to be called the 1190RX. Official details are sparse at the moment, but the new EBR 1190RX is expected to be a street-legal version of the 1190RS racebike, as the image (see the full version below) sports a pillion seat and pegs, mirrors, lighting and license plate holder. The engine is expected to be based on the 1190cc liquid-cooled V-Twin equipped on the RS.

US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results

The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .

Erik Buell Racing Opens European Office

Erik Buell Racing opened a new office in the Netherlands, making the first step towards establishing a foothold for distribution to Europe. Located in Alkmaar, a suburb north of Amsterdam, the new office will help increase brand awareness in Europe while laying the groundwork for eventual expanded distribution across the continent. The office will also play a key role in supporting EBR’s World Superbike Championship team and riders Geoff May and Aaron Yates.
