BSA Starfire description

1968 BSA Starfire motorcycle. Title in hand. DMV clear. 25,000+ miles. Matching numbers for frame and engine. Runs great, 250cc. Perfect for tooling around town on a daily basis just in time for summer. Good for a new rider's starter bike, or for seasoned aficionado to put in rotation with your Norton & Triumph to complete the British trifecta collection!

I have owned this motorcycle for almost six years & as far as I can tell I am the 2nd owner. It was my daily rider to and from work until I moved farther away so it's time for a new owner. It has been regularly serviced & maintained to keep in top shape while keeping everything as original as possible. Upgrades include replacing most of the electronics & cables (as the original electronics were not good even when these bikes were new). Also had the ignition switched out with a Pazon ignition which allows for reliable kick starting. Brand new battery. Carb-clean with timing adjustment about 50 miles ago.

The bike is in good vintage condition, meaning there is typical wear so you don't have to be afraid to ride it. Main cosmetic issues are the right side handle grip and tail pipe show scratches and minor scrapes, have tried to show all in photos. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or if you would like to come see it in Echo Park very near downtown LA.

I can deliver the motorcycle anywhere within a days drive from Los Angeles (San Diego, Orange County, San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas etc.) for a negotiated mileage fee once the motorcycle is paid in full.

FAQ:
Is this a showroom condition motorcycle? No, and if you want one for your museum you will have better luck building a time machine to go back to 1968 and buy it then. But seriously, this is a great looking motorcycle and very hard to find in this condition.

Are replacement parts hard to find? No, as these bikes are so collectible, there are many sites online that have great deals on replacement parts.
