A beautifully restored, matching numbers, 1972 BSA Lightning. The list is long: .030 over size bore, new pistons, valves, guides, springs, cylinder painted, gasket surfaces cleaned, new gaskets, carbs, wiring harness, and turn signals, the pressure release valve, oil tank, oil filter and sump filter cleaned, changed all engine, primary and transmission oil, new coils, spark plugs and battery, replaced rear drive chain and sprocket, new tail light bulb and front fender, and replaced the reserve gas tap and all gas hoses. It drives better than it looks!! I can send you a video of me starting and riding the BSA if you contact me by email at jlucic@cogeco.ca. Highlighting this year’s exciting activities was the emergence of another new and soon to be renown custom bike builder to the sport for which the Calendar Show is known for cultivating. Taking Best of Show in this year’s Calendar Bike Building Championship was Calin Senciac’s Imagine Vehicles International / ImagineVehicles.com motorsports fabrication shop with an incredible custom billet aluminum designed chassis built by Terry Ward and the shop crew, housing a legendary 1979 Honda CBX 1047cc air-cooled in-line 6-cylinder engine.
