BSA Lightning description

Purchased as a "rat bike" in 2011 in Edgewater Florida. In process of converting to a '69 Lightning when connecting rod broke and trashed bottom end. Included incorrect side stand, points and coils and well as a Harley Sportster coil I ran on the bike. Exhaust has dents and rust but is correct crossover type. Cylinders have no broken fins but may need new liners as I don't know if honing will clean them up.Will include JRC jets for carbs. Every thing is boxed or in a plastic container. Many parts are bagged and tagged by me. Everyting should fit in a standard sized pick up truck or small trialer. For local pick up only. I can deliver within a 100 mile radius for gas money.

What’s Old Is New Again – Video

The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer

Tue, 24 Mar 2009

There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.
