BSA B44VS description

BSA STREET SCRAMBLER

This BSA B44 is set up for AHRMA vintage motocross BUT it's street legal with LED lighting.  Ride your racer to the races!  1969 BSA B44VS victor special with 35mm non-leading axle forks, Mikuni VM carb, Anti-Gravity battery, super bright and light weight LED lighting, 21" front wheel, alloy fenders and number plates, nice tank with nice paint, new seat, sweet bike.  See the video below and look at the pictures for more details and condition.

Titled as a 1970 which is very common in the United States for British bikes from the 60's.  I've had several bikes titled a model year newer from the 60's.  This engine is date coded 12-12-68 and vin is 02-69 so definitely a 1969 model.  Engine and frame numbers match.  The cases have been repaired at some point (good work).  This is not a "restored" motorcycle, just a very presentable race bike or daily rider.  $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction end.  Full payment due within 14 days of the auction end.  Bike is to be picked up within two weeks unless other arrangements have been made with me.  I am willing to ship internationally but it is the buyer's responsibility to arrange for and pay for all shipping.  I can aid in sourcing shippers.  Bike must be paid for before the bike will be released to a shipper.  This is a nearly 50 year old motorcycle so, yes, it has issues, it drips oil, requires maintenance has scratches and dings and has no warranty.  Sold as-is, where-is.

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer

Tue, 24 Mar 2009

There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.

2014 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Concourse d’ Elegance Report

Wed, 06 Aug 2014

The 2014 edition of the LA Calendar Motorcycle Show continued its now 23-year tradition as the premier outdoor streetbike event in America with producer photographer Jim Gianatsis moving the show this year to the beautiful green lawns of the Malibu Golf Course among the twisty canyon roads in the Santa Monica Mountains alongside the Pacific Ocean. Highlighting this year’s exciting activities was the emergence of another new and soon to be renown custom bike builder to the sport for which the Calendar Show is known for cultivating. Taking Best of Show in this year’s Calendar Bike Building Championship was Calin Senciac’s Imagine Vehicles International / ImagineVehicles.com motorsports fabrication shop with an incredible custom billet aluminum designed chassis built by Terry Ward and the shop crew, housing a legendary 1979 Honda CBX 1047cc air-cooled in-line 6-cylinder engine.
