BSA A65IT Thunderbolt Twin description

I am listing my 1967 BSA Thunderbolt Chopper project.  No time to finish it and I won't sell it off in pieces because it took me too long to scour swap meets all over the East Coast trying to locate everything I have here.  The rolling chassis is the real deal, a 1970's Vintage Hard Tail Chopper Kit that guys used to buy back in the day to modify their stock frames.  On that chassis is a mock up motor with a brand new $250 McCooney Carburetor, original spoked wheels, brand new tires, gas tank, dual pipes, etc.  You'll also see the complete BSA 654cc Thunderbolt Running Motor on the engine stand.  That motor has been gone through and is in nice running condition.  The running motor alone is worth $1,000.  In addition to that I'm also including my 1967 Stock Original BSA Thunderbolt A65IT Frame in case you'd rather build the bike back to stock original.  That stock frame also has a mock up motor with it.  Also included are several crates/boxes of spare parts including 2 extra engine cranks, 3 extra side covers, and whatever else you can spot in the crates.  If you have any questions about any of what's listed here, contact me and I'll respond as quickly as possible.

As for shipping, I've calculated an estimated weight of around 600lbs.  I will disassemble, repack, and crate everything up onto one standard size 48" x 48" wooden pallet.  The pallet will be shipped Freight from Manchester, CT 06040 to the location you choose.  IT IS UP TO THE WINNING BIDDER TO CALCULATE, ARRANGE, AND PAY FOR ALL SHIPPING CHARGES.  As I said, I will crate and forklift load the pallet into the shipping company's truck on my end as part of the final auction price, but it is up to the winning bidder to calculate and pay for all shipping costs based on the weight and size info I've included, before the pallet leaves Manchester, CT.

As I said above, please contact me if you have any questions about anything I have listed.  Thanks for looking, and good luck.

The 1967 BSA Royal Star 650 has a special place in the heart of the Piano Man, Billy Joel — it was the first motorcycle he ever had. As time went on and Joel’s career blossomed, the love for motorcycles only grew. In fact, Joel even has his own motorcycle shop.

Oil On Canvas Originals To Be Auctioned

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Bonhams will be auctioning two oil on canvas originals from contemporary motorsports artist Robert Carter, January 9th at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The title piece for this auction (pictured above) measures 48” x 60” and depicts AMA Flat Track star Jim Rice piloting his BSA to victory at the 1970 Santa Rosa Mile. Carter’s second original celebrates the Catalina Grand Prix of 1950’s fame. The oil on canvas piece is 36” x 60”. In addition to these two originals, some of Carter’s Giclee prints will be available.
