This bike was found in "barn find" condition.
Motor runs, starts first or second kick. Replaced and retimed the magneto. This bike needs work to be rideable. It is about 90 percent there, great platform for a restoration. The engine number on the left side of the case is either worn off or nonexistent. The head has a number stamped on the clutch side, 53A30LJ which im told indicates the big valve head. The splines on the gearbox shift shaft are worn out, seems to shift through the gears but needs some adjustment. fuel delivery system needs work, tank needs to be cleaned. No speedo, tach, grips, center stand, battery, Does come with pegs, Also comes with New Wiring Harness and assorted gaskets. I do not have time for this project so unfortunately it needs to go. Oil On Canvas Originals To Be Auctioned
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Bonhams will be auctioning two oil on canvas originals from contemporary motorsports artist Robert Carter, January 9th at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The title piece for this auction (pictured above) measures 48” x 60” and depicts AMA Flat Track star Jim Rice piloting his BSA to victory at the 1970 Santa Rosa Mile. Carter’s second original celebrates the Catalina Grand Prix of 1950’s fame. The oil on canvas piece is 36” x 60”. In addition to these two originals, some of Carter’s Giclee prints will be available.
