BMW S1000XR description

2016 BMW S1000XR just under 2500  miles.  I purchased this fully loaded 2016 BMW S1000XR from BMW of North Dallas in January 2016. Due to a new addition in the garage (R1200GS Adventure) this bike is now on sale.

This XR is equipped with the dynamic package which includes the following features:  center stand, heated grips, cruise control, 4 ride modes (rain, road, dynamic, and dynamic pro), abs pro and automatic stability control (asc), dynamic traction control, dynamic suspension control (ESA) and quick shifter. No BMW bike alarm included.

It has every available factory options and some additional accessories added:

S1000XR Premium package ($19,245):
Dynamic Traction Control
Dynamic ESA
Gear Shift Assist Pro
Ride Mode Pro
ABS Pro
GPS Prep
Heated Grips
Center Stand
Luggage Grid
Saddlebag Mounts

Accessories includes:
Hand Guards ($155)
Color matched (red) and keyed tour cases (Side cases) ($998)
Color matched (red)
and keyed top case ($675)
Top case backrest pad ($35)
Custom T-Rex engine guards ($349)
Custom T-Rex frame sliders ($39)
Custom T-Rex saddle bag guards ($299)
Custom T-Rex axle sliders ($49)
Custom T-Rex Fully Adjustable Rear Lowering Link ($129)
Custom T-Rex Fully Adjustable kick stand  ($49)
Heavy Bar End weights ($69)
Custom Bar Risers to tame the 6500 RPM vibration ($99)
Puig tall touring windshield ($149)

The bike has factory seat (not lowered seat) and the suspension has been lowered 2" front and rear. The height could be returned to stock in 30 minutes from the adjustment on the forks and rear suspension link. This lowering method does not compromise the suspension travel and does not affect the preload of the suspension. In addition the kickstand is also adjustable. The bike could be tailored for any stock to lowered ride height from 0-2" as needed.

The bike has been dropped and repaired. There is a minor rash on the right mirror and the right black trim that are not visible in the picture (the camera does not pick it up) and it is not visible unless you are within 2 feet of the imperfection.

The bike cost over $20,000 from the dealer not counting all the accessories added. I estimate that I have about $23,000 in this bike.

I am asking $17,000 and I have clear title in hand - no bank lien to clear.

$500 deposit due to purchase on eBay.  Remaining balance on certified bank fund payable at one of the banks here in the Dallas area.

The bike is locate in Irving (Dallas) Texas.

Fly and Ride welcome and I could pickup you up from DFW airport.

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.

John Surtees to Lead Classic Vehicle Parade Fundraiser

Fri, 03 May 2013

Motorsports legend John Surtees will lead a parade of classic cars and motorcycles – including Surtees’ 1960 500cc Grand Prix Championship-winning MV Agusta – in his home town of Edenbridge, England. Surtees is the only person to have ever won world championships in both Grand Prix motorcycle racing and Formula One, and the parade will feature cars and bikes from his time as both a racer and a racing team owner. Surtees himself will drive the Team Surtees TS7, a F1 car constructed by his own team that debuted at the 1970 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.
