For sale 2008 BMW R1200RTP. This bike comes with 55K Miles. This bike is adult ridden and is in very good shape for its year and miles. Does come with normal wear. This bike comes with the following options such as; ABS, ASC, TPMS, Adjustable Windshield, Heated Grips, etc. This bike is equipped with Code 3 Lights and siren its amber lights not Red/Blue.
This bike was purchased from insurance company therefore carries salvage title. It is registrable in all 50 states. At the time of purchase this bike did not had saddlebags, front windshield arms were broken, the rest of this bike is in exact same condition. I am posting a picture at the time of purchase for the buyer to see exact condition of this bike. Since than both used bags were purchased and windshield arms along with a windshield itself were replaced. This bike is in great running condition. I rode personally this bike for over 50 miles and it runs great. No known issues with this bike. Tires are in good shape. Turn your BMW into a fire engine
Wed, 16 Mar 2011German fire engine and pump manufacturer Rosenbauer have utilised the ubiquitous BMW 1200 boxer engine to produce a powerful and lightweight water pump. The engine runs as normal, using it's torqey qualities to power the high pressure waterpump attached. Firefighters can carry this compact pump closer to the fire, and go where the normal fire engine cannot reach.

Wed, 25 Sep 2013The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has announced the winner of its 2013 Design Awards, which asked students from across the world to submit their final graduating projects completed between October 2011 and July 2013. Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.

Mon, 15 Mar 2010THERE'S SOMETHING rather cruel about ringing the nuts out of any bike on a dyno - a bit like poking a lion through the bars of a cage with a long stick... Anyway, not quite sure where I'm going with that one, so here's a rather lovely clip of BMW's much-lauded S1000RR getting a stationary pasting on a dyno. Not sure I'd be standing at the rear, mind you.
