BMW R-Series description

I'm selling my 2008 R1200R with a little over 9500 miles on it. It is in excellent condition, and I'm selling it because I am no longer able to ride it. Reluctantly parting with it, hoping that a new owner will enjoy it as much as I have.

This bike is single-owner, has been garage kept and ridden lightly. Dealer-serviced every spring until summer 2015. Latest revision done at Motorworks Chicago on June 30th 2015, all previous service records are in the owner's logbook. Clear IL title with all original paperwork, including manuals for bike and extras. Ridden recently and rides great!

The bike comes with a few extras:
  • Two seats: original factory seat and tall seat (Wunderlich)
  • ABS option
  • BMW Front Fairing and sport windshield
  • Rear BMW rack
  • Rear BMW hard case
  • Heated grips

D1200R Demonstrates Innovative Design

Thu, 12 Mar 2009

What do you get when you combine a BMW R1200R and a Buell XB12? The D1200R! A former employee of Lamborghini by the name of Pablo González de Chaves Fernández has turned his attention from four wheels to two and has begun creating innovative design improvements to existing motorcycles with the help of Juan Elizalde Bertrand.

My S1000RR has stopped but it's only a broken chain.

Thu, 15 Sep 2011

I know there has been a lack of blogging on my S1000RR recently and that’s because it’s broken, but only a little bit. On July 18th I was at Silverstone looking after some Bahnstormer BMW customers, when late in the afternoon something hit me on the back as I was charging down the Wellington Straight. At that precise moment I also thought I had hit a false neutral but it turns out the chain had snapped.

New: BMW System 6 Evo helmet

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

BMW has released the new System 6 Evo flip-front helmet.  It retains the clean lines of the System 6, while increasing levels of comfort and practicality with a more scratch-resistant internal sun visor, a more robust visor mechanism designed to make operation with gloved hands easier, improved ventilation control on the chin, and a revised spoiler for better aerodynamics. BMW says it has a unique chin bar pivot which reduces the size of the helmet when the chin bar is upright. Weighing in at 1.57kg, the ECE 22-05 homologated Evo is a quiet lid, with noise levels registering at 84-86 dBA at 62 mph. The helmet comes ready for installation of the BMW Communication system, offering a Bluetooth connection to the BMW Navigator IV sat-nav, music players, mobile phones and other BMW helmets.
