BMW R-Series description

2004 BMW R1200CL. I'm selling this bike for a valued friend and former customer who passed away of cancer last year.  I don't know much about the bike, such as whether he was the original owner, what he had done to the bike, maintenance history, etc.  It seems to be a very nice bike but he did drop the bike on the right side as there are scratches on the fairing and right side case.  There is also a small scratch on the front fender. See pictures for more details.  It has virtually brand new tires and the bike seems to run and drive just fine.  I haven't ridden it extensively, just around a parking lot and to load in my trailer.  He had it in his garage under a cover and hooked up to a battery tender.  His widow asked me to help sell it.  It was never a rental.  Don't let my seller name mislead you on this bike.

This bike is listed locally and may be removed from ebay at any time if sold locally.  I will do my best to immediately remove this listing upon local sale, but buyer acknowledges and agrees that sale may be cancelled, and seller is not responsible for anything to buyer, in the unlikely event the bike happens to have been sold locally just before buyer purchased through this listing.

Bike is sold as is.  $500 deposit due within 48 hours.  Full payment due within 7 days.  Cash or cashier's check accepted.  Bike and title will be withheld from buyer or buyer's shipper until payment cleared by bank.

Shipping/delivery is responsibility of buyer.  Buyer inspections welcome, but must be completed before purchase.  I will happily do what I can to accommodate buyer or buyer's shipper.  Bike can be picked up in Sacramento, CA.  Again, payment must be received and cleared first, and any inspections must be completed before sale.  I'm happy to answer questions, provide additional pictures, and accommodate inspections to satisfy all your needs before you click "buy it now" and clicking "buy it now" means you are satisfied with what you see and are paying the buy it now price.

Look forward to dealing with you on this great bike.

2010 BMW S1000RR – First Ride

Fri, 20 Nov 2009

UPDATE:  Full Review now on Motorcycle.com (with video) We just spent the day ripping it up around the fabulous Portimao race circuit in Portugal on BMW’s new S1000RR supersport literbike, and it’s set to blow away perceptions of what a BMW motorcycle is. With 193 crankshaft horsepower and a claimed dry weight of 404 pounds, BMW says the S1000RR has the best power-to-weight ratio of any production bike. And, by the way the S1000 lofts its front wheel onto Portimao’s front straight at 150 mph, we’re becoming believers!
