2004 BMW R1150RT-P Motorcycle
111,000 miles and runs great. This is the police model, and was formally a California Highway Patrol (CHiPs) bike. The lights and sirens were removed, and a rear seat installed so you can ride 2-up like normal. I had the local BMW motorcycle shop perform all scheduled maintenance last fall, plus it has: -New tires -New stainless steel braided brake lines -New batteries Police model unique features: -larger alternator -two batteries -switch to turn off the lights -fan behind the oil cooler. Other R1150RT features include: -removable locking hard luggage -adjustable height windshield -heated grips -fuel injection -fuel gauge -adjustable headlamp beam height -three-position driver's seat No warranty. NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

The new search tool, available at http://www.safercar.gov/vinlookup, allows people to look for recall campaigns by entering Vehicle Identification Numbers.
BMW Fuel Pump Recall Hits US, Affecting 50,184 Motorcycles
Mon, 06 Jan 2014A recall affecting 18 different BMW motorcycle models from seven model years has been announced for the U.S., affecting 50,184 motorcycles. At issue is a potential leak in the fuel pumps or auxiliary fuel pumps on 2005-2011 BMW R series models, 2005-2012 K series models, 2006-2010 HP2 models and 2010-2011 S1000RR sportbikes. A similar recall was announced last month in Canada, affecting 6,325 motorcycles, and we knew it was a matter of time before the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced one for the U.S.
