Listed is a 2004 R1150R Rockster motorcycle, with approximately 8700 miles. It is in great condition, garage kept, and well maintained. Servo Assisted ABS for exceptional stopping. After market Akrapovich Exhaust system,which makes it sound like a Ferrari (Approximately $700). Tires are decent and in my opinion, they have another 2k+ miles left on them. Heated Grips. Some small surface scratches from use and I have tried to show all defects to the best of my photographic ability. Black and Orange paint makes this bike stand out in a crowd.
The bike has been maintained by a BMW master mechanic and has had regular oil and fluid changes. Everything works like it should. New Battery. BMW made the Rockster only for a few years and is considered a collectors motorcycle (not easy to come by). I have used it to ride around town as well as extended rides and it does everything really well. A good bike all around. Low end torque makes this bike a pleasure to ride. The low seat height is great in stop and go traffic as well. The bike will zip down the highway at around 122 mph and 0-60 mph in around 4.2 seconds. Feel free to ask questions. Priced to sell. Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
2014 BMW F800GS Adventure Announced
Thu, 02 May 2013BMW has announced a new Adventure version of the F800GS, providing a more off-road-oriented version of the middleweight dual-sport. BMW has offered an Adventure version of the R1200GS for a while now but this is the first time BMW has done the same for one of its smaller GS models. Like the base F800GS, the Adventure version is powered by a liquid-cooled 798cc four-valve parallel-twin engine.
New: BMW System 6 Evo helmet
Fri, 12 Apr 2013BMW has released the new System 6 Evo flip-front helmet. It retains the clean lines of the System 6, while increasing levels of comfort and practicality with a more scratch-resistant internal sun visor, a more robust visor mechanism designed to make operation with gloved hands easier, improved ventilation control on the chin, and a revised spoiler for better aerodynamics. BMW says it has a unique chin bar pivot which reduces the size of the helmet when the chin bar is upright. Weighing in at 1.57kg, the ECE 22-05 homologated Evo is a quiet lid, with noise levels registering at 84-86 dBA at 62 mph. The helmet comes ready for installation of the BMW Communication system, offering a Bluetooth connection to the BMW Navigator IV sat-nav, music players, mobile phones and other BMW helmets.
