BMW R-Series description
*updated to full res photos 2 Aug. Bike is in excellent mechanical condition, but if you want it to look really sharp, it will need a paint job. Driver's seat has a rip on the righthand side, and if you want to do any long trips, you will probably want to get a new seat, or get this one refoamed and recovered. It's fine for around town though. Extras/Options ABS power brakes extended windshield (adjustable for height) handlebar pullbacks heated grips bar end weights/throttle lock BMW hard luggage After market exhaust (I have the original if you want it) BMW engine guards extra bright LED brake light Recent maintenance changed alternator belt adjusted valves changed brake fluid changed clutch fluide replaced fuel filter replaced both of the fuel line quick disconnects replaced rubber grips The only issues with this bike are cosmetic. 2013 BMW R1250 Roadster Spy Photos
Mon, 11 Jun 2012[Ed.: The original spy photos have been taken down by request. Instead, here is a picture of the current R1200R model.] BMW is preparing to launch the ground-up redesign of its iconic R1200GS in a new 1250cc-or-so liquid-cooled Boxer powerplant, a speculative profile of which you can read about here. But there’s more Boxer-oriented news to come from BMW for 2013.
Winter weather but summer carries on.
Tue, 14 Jun 2011Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.
BMW S1000RR drag bike
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Whilst stretched out bikes aren't that popular over here in the UK, you can certainly appreciate them a whole lot more more when you know they're going to be used at a drag strip. This video shows bike builder and ex-racer Roland Sands work his magic on a BMW S1000RR. Future plans are to increase the engine to 300bhp, and achieve speeds of 220mph.
