This 1996 BMW R1100R is an ABS model and has the super strong and lightweight spoke wheels
that utilize a rim edge design that allows use of tubeless tires. Only 15k original miles !
Tires are excellent with 80% tread. New sealed battery. Starts right up and has excellent power. Aftermarket muffler with a nice sound. Only 15 k original miles. No accidents - never down. Several small scratches on tank. Overall very good condition. Clear title. I am selling this BMW in a real no reserve auction to the high bidder.

BMW seems to be on a role lately with naked roadsters. All in the span of a year, BMW has revealed the S1000R, the R nineT. If recent spy photos offer a real indication, we also expect BMW to release a new R1200R using its new liquid-cooled boxer engine.

Michael Dunlop to Race for BMW at 2014 Isle of Man TT

BMW Motorrad UK has signed seven-time winner Michael Dunlop to race in the 2014 Isle of Man TT and other international road races. Dunlop will be the first factory-backed BMW rider in 50 years, and will try to be the first rider to win a TT race on a BMW since Georg Meier won in 1939 on a RS 255 Kompressor. Dunlop, nephew of the great Joey Dunlop, was the star of the 2013 Isle of Man TT, winning four races and finishing second in the Senior TT on Honda machines.

Spotted at this year's Motorcycle Live. The 'net is awash with gold-wrapped and horrendously painted supercars, often sporting Middle-Eastern numberplates but this S1000RR isn't an Arab creation. Nope, it's a one-off paintjob by BMW for the 2012 Olympics, where BMW supplied cars and bikes to ferry around VIPs.
