Selling one very clean 1992 BMW R100R BMW with factory hard luggage, and 8600 original miles. As you can see from the pictures, this is a very clean bike that is in exemplary condition, runs and rides like new and comes with original owners manuals and spare key. Same owner for the last 16 years since 1400 miles. Light cosmetic blemishes, please examine pictures. It does leak a small amount of oil, I believe from the pushrod tube seals. This is a 26 years old bike. Left tank badge is peeling a little bit, and there are some small scuffs under the valve covers, but overall this is a very nice bike. EICMA 2011 Preview: BMW Maxi-Scooters to Debut in Milan
Fri, 14 Oct 2011BMW will present its 2012 lineup at the upcoming EICMA show in Milan, Italy, but the centerpiece will be the company’s first maxi-scooters. The German manufacturer is expected to reveal two scooter models, both derived from the Concept C BMW unveiled at the 2010 EICMA show. The two scooters are expected to be powered by a version of the parallel Twin engine used in the F800R, but with a lower displacement in the 500cc-650cc range.
Dainese to Develop Airbag-Equipped Riding Gear for BMW; Technology Coming to BMW Motorcycles in 2015
Wed, 17 Jul 2013BMW announced a new joint project with Dainese that would develop a new line of rider equipment using the Italian company’s integrated airbag technology. The two companies will also be working on integrating the technology to BMW’s motorcycles. The new line will make use of Dainese’s D-Air technology developed by MotoGP racers such as Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.
BMW Reports Q3 2011 Results
Thu, 03 Nov 2011The BMW Group reported a 14.8% increase in motorcycle revenue and a 6.5% increase in unit sales during the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2011. The German manufacturer sold 28,862 units over the quarter, including 26,312 BMW-branded motorcycles and 2,550 units from its Husqvarna subsidiary.
