BMW R-Series description
Selling a beautiful, restored and updated BMW 1984 R65 LS. Stored carefully for years, until we took it in and had the following parts replaced by a certified (vintage) BMW mechanic. The owner was extremely meticulous about care and storage and the bike is in beautiful condition.
New brake fluid Brake lines Slave cylinder Master cylinder Battery Tires New oil filter Fuel filter The itemized service receipt can be provided. Included with the bike are the original manual and accompanying booklets, touch-up pens, and four keys. This is very much a collector bike, as the LS was a limited run of the R65 with a slightly different design. Please note- there is an added windshield, an added back storage rack, one of the small silver side panels has come loose, and the foot shifter is missing its rubber grip. All lights work, the emergency light switch itself does not, and should be rewired. There is a small scratch across the front fender. 4390 ORIGINAL MILES, starts and runs well. asking $5150 OBO, open to vehicle trades (local only). Located in South Bay, Los Angeles. Michael Dunlop to Race for BMW at 2014 Isle of Man TT
Wed, 12 Feb 2014BMW Motorrad UK has signed seven-time winner Michael Dunlop to race in the 2014 Isle of Man TT and other international road races. Dunlop will be the first factory-backed BMW rider in 50 years, and will try to be the first rider to win a TT race on a BMW since Georg Meier won in 1939 on a RS 255 Kompressor. Dunlop, nephew of the great Joey Dunlop, was the star of the 2013 Isle of Man TT, winning four races and finishing second in the Senior TT on Honda machines.

V.I.P treatment for first Dainese D-Air customers
Fri, 08 Jul 2011To celebrate the release of the D-Air race suit in the UK, Dainese are offering the first 20 customers to order a complete V.I.P treatment at the upcoming World Superbike round at Silverstone. The iconic safety brand will have each of the customer's suits personally tailored, with measurements undertaken by a Dainese D-Air engineer from the factory in Italy. Following this, the first 20 customers to register will receive a hospitality lunch, garage tours of the Aprilia, BMW and Kawasaki teams with the opportunity to meet the Dainese riders and rub well protected shoulders with the big names of the WSB paddock.
