BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
You are looking at a 1980 BMW R100. This is a full custom BMW, that was built some time ago. The engine and frame numbers match. I never had the bike running nor did I try, but rocking the bike in gear I can hear and feel the engine turn over. This is the perfect summer cafe project. The bike is titled in my name in the state of Florida, and the title matches the VIN. I will now let my picture slideshow I provided in the listing do the talking. You must use a regular computer or laptop to see the slideshow. They will not show up with apps, phones, or some tablets. Click on the view all tab at the bottom of the slideshow to see all the pictures. This is a NO RESERVE auction. No warranties expressed or implied , and a as is where is sale. Feel free to have the motorcycle inspected if you like. All sales are final, and there are no refunds or returns, and inspections are recommended. Full payment is do within 7 days after the auction has ended. Buyer must also contact me within 2 days after the auction has ended to set up a time for payment and pickup. Bike must be picked up in Tampa FL. As long as the bike is paid for in full within 7 days after the auction has ended, then she can sit here for up to two months, but would like it picked up as soon as possible. Please look at all of the pictures, including the slideshow pictures, and ask all questions before bidding as I will be happy to answer them. Thank you and happy bidding! |

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?
Wed, 20 Apr 2011I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.
