BMW R-Series description

1974 R90/6 with a 1978 R100 /7 motor, trans and rear drive. The rear drive is an 32/11 out of an RS. This is a 1000cc motorcycle and not a 900. All nuts and bolts were replaced with stainless steel fasteners, refinished originals or are new. The motor was re-ringed and resealed. It was put back together with all new gaskets and rubber seals. Any worn parts were replaced. It has a new clutch, all new cables, and rubber bits. It has stainless Norton peashooter mufflers and new header pipes. EBC floating front brake disc, rebuilt master cylinder and stainless brake lines. Lester mags, with new tires.

The paint is a 11 out of 10, all body parts repainted and hand striped. The frame is painted in a polyurethane enamel. This bike runs sweet and smooth idles perfect.Has no oil leaks. The note from the mufflers will bring a smile to your face. The pictures speak for the bike. Look them over ask questions.

The motor has most of the pieces painted silver much like the newer motorcycles. A clear coating was used to seal off the pours and casting. This aids in cleaning and keeping the motor looking new instead of turning grey and streaked. The transmission has been painted also. This was professionally done. The engine block itself was left original.

Comes with clear title and permanent Washington collector's plates.

[Ed.: The original spy photos have been taken down by request. BMW Sales Down 2.3% in First Half of 2012 but Record Finish Still Predicted

Fri, 06 Jul 2012

BMW predicts a record year for motorcycle sales despite a 2.3% dip over the first six months. The first half of 2012 saw BMW sell 59,189 units, down from the 60,580 units reported for the same period in 2011. The decrease is primarily because of a 13.2% drop in sales in June.
