BMW R-Series description

1971 BMW R75/5 SWB

Excellent Condition.  35, 490 miles.

Everything works starts right up.

Has good brakes, good tires, fresh oil and air filter

Comes with tools, tire pump, new solo seat, ride off stand, Brown's side stand.  New Halycon bar end mirrors, new Odyssey battery, new mufflers dual Fiamm Horns.  Fairly new Koni shocks, red coating still in fuel tank.  No dents on tank.

This is a matching number bike and it is currently registered.

There are a few small sand chips on the fenders and a rub mark from a bag on the rear fender.  The transmission occasionally grinds when downshifting to first gear while moving.

I bought this bike for my wife and it is a little too tall for her to be comfortable with.  She prefers her Guzzi.

Please e-mail or call me with any questions (401)539-3010

A $500.00 deposit is required within 48 hours of end of auction and the balance can be either made via wire transfer or cash.  Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping.

Although the bike is listed as having a clear title, the State of Rhode Island does not issue titles for vehicles older than 1986, it is sold with a bill of sale.

The first photos of the subcompact BMW

Sun, 11 Jan 2015

The first photos of a small-capacity naked bike developed by German and Indian BMW and TVS engineers were leaked to the Internet. The motorcycle got into the lenses of spy cameras during tests in Germany. It is expected that the novelty will be equipped with a 300 cc single-cylinder power plant.

BMW S1000RR Valve Train Working at High RPM [video]

Tue, 23 Feb 2010

I’d like to ramble on about a dozen different things relating to this video, but the 3- minute, 19-second clip speaks for itself. However, once the engine is revving at high rpm, watching the cams, finger followers and valve springs seemingly freeze in action due to the incredible speeds, I was reminded of that whole “Dude, the faster I went the more everything around me seemed to slow down,” experience we’ve all heard about or experienced. Enjoy!

What’s New With CRP Electric Motorcycles?

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

CRP, the Italian company who made a splash last year when it announced it would make a production electric motorcycle, has been strangely quiet lately. With no news coming from the team in Modena, Italy, we wondered, what’s CRP been up to lately? While not much has been said publicly for months, CRP has been working feverishly behind the scenes to strengthen its staff.
