NOW READ THIS ONE & LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY, THIS BIKE WAS BOUGHT NEW @ ELLIS CYCLE CENTER IN WINSTON/SALEM NC, CUSTOMER BOUGHT 3 NEW BMW'S OFF OF THEM, A R27 A R50 ONE YEAR LATER TRADED HER IN ON A  R69S , ALL THREE BIKES WERE MAINTAINED AT DEALER, AS HE TRADED THEM IN THE DEALER KEPT THEM, ENDED UP SELLING THEM TO GHOST MOTORCYCLES FOR THEIR MUSEUM WHERE THEY SAT FOR YEARS ON DISPLAY, HARD TO IMAGINE A BIKE THIS OLD IN SUCH NICE CONDITION, AMAZINGLY IT WAS NEVER LEFT OUTSIDE, BANGED AROUND IN THE GARAGE, KNOCKED OVER BY YOUR BROTHER OR HAD BOXES STACKED ON TOP OF IT..... ASSOCIATE OF MINE BOUGHT TWO OF THE BIKES FROM THE MUSEUM WHEN THEY LIQUIDATED SOME INVENTORY, OF COURSE HIS WIFE HAS A NUTTY.... THATS WHEN I GOT A PHONE CALL TO BUY HIM OUT OF THESE OR HE WAS GOING TO GET DIVORCED..... ( HE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE DIVORCE THEN & GOT IT OVER WITH) ((SHE EVENTUALLY LEFT HIM ANYWAY BECAUSE HE LOVED MOTORCYCLES MORE THAN HER)) NOT A BAD STATEMENT.........NEVER HAD A MOTORCYCLE GET JEALOUS OF ANOTHER MOTORCYCLE.... BUT ANYWAY..... THIS BIKE IS STOCK DOWN TO THE TIRES, NEVER DOWN ALLWAYS IN HEATED STORAGE, PRETTY MUCH IMMPECIBLE CONDITION....... (CHECK PICTURES)     GAS TANK IS SEALED ON INSIDE (SPOTLESS)  PAINT IS JUST GORGEOUS!!!   CHROME IS UNRESTORED & ALSO IMMPECIBLE.......

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

BMW Reports Q1 2012 Results

We already know BMW started 2012 off with a record first quarter with 24,373 motorcycles sold, with an additional 2,642 units from its Husqvarna subsidiary. BMW‘s quarterly report now reveals the U.S. accounted for 3,429 units sold in the first three months of the year, a 47.9% increase from 2,319 units over the same quarter of 2011.

BMW Names Schaller New Head of Motorcycle Development

BMW has appointed Karl Viktor Schaller as its new head of BMW Motorrad development. Schaller will replace Christian Landerl who headed motorcycle development since November 2008. Schaller studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich before becoming a scientific assistant at the research institute for gear wheels and gear manufacturing.
